Not Sid...Sidney!

Is it possible? Do my eyes deceive me? For a second night in a row, I watch the Texas Rangers pitch another dandy of a ballgame in record time. Sidney Ponson starts a game that is a pitchers duel with the first five innings over and done in 56 minutes. Texas gets some timely hitting from Ramon Vazquez and another win. This game is done in two hours and twenty four minutes! That has to be Arlington first! It wasn't even ten o'clock and the fireworks show was over and done! My kinda night.

Five Tool Triple Crown Worthy?

I used to only think of Ken Griffey Jr. as the ultimate 5 tool player. The same might be said for Josh. Already over 60 rbis and 14 dingers with a .330 batting average. Big Brown gets all the Triple Crown talk for now. I wonder if maybe we do the same in Texas for a certain outfielder?

Thanks Dick! Laugh Out...

Read about the passing of Dick Martin, one half of that great team of 'Laugh-In'. Go back to 1969-1970 and there was a program that was very in-your-face comical. Lots of satire, lots of political commentary, and some memorable phrases that are still around today. 'You bet your bippy', 'Right On', 'Here Come the Judge', and one of my favorites by Goldie Hawn,' Don't Go Back-We'll Be Right Away!' Lots of great talent adorned that series, which then spawned other sitcoms. Martin was 86. Quite the life.
