    'Twas a small but vocal crowd in the restaurant where I work this night in Las Colinas. Blame it on the end of the month, the full moon, or being burned out from Memorial Day Weekend, things were slower than anticipated. Be that as it may, there were two teams in two sports representing the same two cities, Cleveland and Detroit, in two games.

    All of my life I have always made it a point to focus on the positive. Try to see the good in people, stay upbeat when life throws a curve, remain loyal through thick and thin. This test is also very trying when you try to put your support towards the local team.

    It was merely 22 minutes ago that the Rangers had their asses handed to them in a 10-6 loss. A game that Texas had gotten the lead, only to give it away in middle relief. I would learn after the game that Brandon McCarthy had a blister emerge on his hand, hence only a two inning stint.

    The Nation of...Cool?

    The 2007 baseball campaign began on April 1st. The Rangers home opener fell on April 6th. Unseasonably cool weather shot through the area. The coldest home opener and coldest night game ever played in 52 and 33 degree weather. Maybe it's the opponent, maybe it's just coincidence. You decide.
