In seven years of attending Rangers games I have seen some consistent rain delays. The one that lasted over 3 hours when the Red Sox were here 4/30/04 was pretty intense. A rain delay we had 8/11/03 with the Tigers caused a 25 degree temperature drop.
I received phone call from my friend Sondra at the last moment. She had a friend from Philly with her. Can I sit with her in the Lexus section? Heck yeah! You put two East Coast peeps together, and it's bound to get animated.
Detroit in town for the second of three games. Brian brought two kids along for the fun of it. Baseball after all is a kids game. One of the kids, Keegan, informed me that it has been six years since the last time he attended a Ranger game. To which I replied, 'Someone is gonig to catch a foul ball tonight.'
A term I had never heard of prior to moving here was the term 'Gullywash'. I am guessing that speaks to the notion of how hard it rains in Texas...to the point you swear you can hear the voice of God say, "Boy, you will be a Baptist!'
I had gotten the memo and the invite. It's always a privilege for me to get out and about, carry the camera, and be a photo hound as a group of people go about their event, party, or social itinerary. For the most part I tend to keep the party stuff to a minimum since that hasn't been my thing for almost 12 years. In a way, playing photographer is the glass that never gets full or empty when bar hopping.
