    Texas Gets Busy!

Last Sunday was a picture perfect day for a matinee. The Dallas Stars had business with the Calgary Flames. Despite a fight marred affair and 16 powerplays, Dallas would prevail 3-2. Mike Modano is now your all time power play scorer as a Star. A west coast swing now awaits Mikey and company. Anaheim visits Weds. then it's off to Anaheim and Los Angeles Fri and Sat.

    A Sense of Deja Blue!

In the three years that I have frequented Deja Blue, I have always enjoyed how much entertainment value I have gotten. Last night was no different. After the game the players tossed souvenirs into the crowd as a thank you, a local band brought down the house after the game and the players were on hand to do the autograph session thing. Chilly Bump In The Hump.

Last night I had a special thrill, a first if you will. Aside from watching the Stars getting a clutch victory, I also got to enjoy being photographed next to the Stanley Cup. 35 pounds worth of history, honor, and prestige! I learned later that the NBA trophy was also at the AAC for an upcoming playoff preview April 21st for both the Stars and Mavericks. You'll also see pics of two Gemini's, Mike Modano and Dirk Nowitzki each holding the other's trophy. The line went on forever.

    We Forgot to...Duck!

Time and again they were left for dead yet the Stars could not put them away. This group would have given Dick Cheney a tough time. This might be a possible playoff preview come 4/24th.

    Sounding Off On T.O.

Yes, that WAS yours truly making the TV rounds locally when asked about Terrell Owens coming to the Cowboys. Simply stated, think back to November 1977...Reggie Jackson became a Yankee for big $$$$. Terrell is Reggie, and if he doesn't perform up to standards, he too might get the 'Mr October' label. George Steinbrenner is now Jerry Jones, and Bill Parcells takes the place of cantankerous Billy Martin.
