Sounding Off On T.O.
Happy Monday and HELLO SPRING!
I hereby declare that the drought in North Texas is over after a weekend of torrential rains and local flooding. Some areas hit with as much as 11 inches in 48 hours. My home of Arlington received 7.6. Quite a flurry of thunder and lightning to accompany the rising water.
With Iowa and Kansas falling by the wayside, it's fair to say that most brackets have been upended. Great to see Texas advance in their win on Sunday. Why is it that the people who drink the most and bitch the most are the ones who 'claim they have had the least' when their separate check comes around? Typical rookie Longhorn behavior. Even the stuffed shirts at A&M were better behaved after they lost...I have yet to hear a good response as to why the logo says ATM...
Jussi Jokinen was in Las Colinas Sunday watching basketball. I spoke to him briefly and he didn't appear the least bit perturbed that his shootout streak fell to 9-1 while his Stars improve to 10-0 in the format, a record that likely will not be broken.
Yes, that WAS yours truly making the TV rounds locally when asked about Terrell Owens coming to the Cowboys. Simply stated, think back to November 1977...Reggie Jackson became a Yankee for big $$$$. Terrell is Reggie, and if he doesn't perform up to standards, he too might get the 'Mr October' label. George Steinbrenner is now Jerry Jones, and Bill Parcells takes the place of cantankerous Billy Martin.
Let me also state that I remember how much Cowboy fans didn't want Charles Haley coming to Dallas 12 years ago... What did he contribute? THANK YOU! T.O will shake things up in Big D...and I predict the Cowboys bring home the gold in 2007. Wondering how long before T.O. has his own program on the tube and we call it, 'TERRELLevision as I see it!' How about a movie remake of two athletes who fight over a Star and is aptly called , 'A Teague Of Their Own'?
Ever notice what you see when you turn the Longhorn logo upside down? A gymnast about to do a split with a windblown skirt! For real, check it out! I can see a new reality series now...'Dancing with the Longhorn Star' with Stacey Keibler in a ten gallon hat, and Jerry Rice as...never mind.
TODAY IS THE DAY the new look shall take effect. Be prepared for I am just warming up...
Over and out in Big D
Mr Will
