    Dear Coach: What The...?

The last time I made the trek to the Zen Addison was February 2006. Alli had a birthday party and I was only too happy to say hello to a friend. It was a cold rainy day with no outdoor seating. Sunday I discovered that there was a vast outdoor area to sit, eat, drink, smoke, and listen to music.

After 15 Years is All Forgiven?

August 12th 1994 major league baseball went on a lengthy strike. The issue was to have a salary cap or not. Among other things. No baseball. An 8th work stoppage since 1972. That was bad enough. Dez Time and Motown Prime.

With 90-100 degree days ahead for the summer, for one April day it was nice to enjoy some baseball with seasonable temperatures. With a working situation that I am very content with, the thought of lessening the number of games attended will drop from 75 to maybe 13. That's fine by me.

    Trouble in Paradise?

One stat I came across that I would not bode well for the Mavericks: Dan Crawford was one of the refs for Friday night's game. In the last 16 games Crawford was involved with a Maverick game, Dallas has a 1-15 record. Make that 1-16. The refs didn't cost Dallas last night. The Big 3 were just too much for the Carlisle crew. I was impressed by the play of JJ Barea attacking the basket in defeat. The margin was only 4 points, but it seemed like a lot more.

    The Watch Draws Nearer...

The weatherman is calling for stormy weather to hit North Texas later this day. I wonder if the same can be said after an abysmal 3-6 road trip for the Texas Rangers. Might we be hearing calls for Ron Washington to get the ax? Remember it was a year ago in Motown when Texas began it's season 9-18 and the rumors began to circulate. The Rangers turned it around until September's collapse.
