    Gerald Ford (1913-2006)

    As I watch the tributes from many news sources, I keep hearing one particular word-INTEGRITY! The dictionary defines that as balance. For 896 days Gerald Ford, the two way center at Michigan who spurned NFL offers from the Packer and Lions to attend Yale provided exactly that to a nation who wanted to get past Vietnam and Watergate. Look for some wonderful stories to be told about the man from Grand Rapids Michigan who just wanted to be a House Speaker for the next couple of days.

    Santas Day of Hijinks...

    Here I am 35 years later watching my first holiday game at Texas Stadium with the Cowboys and Eagles. Dallas of course has been involved in a few Santa Day affairs. I remember a win in the Arizona desert circa 1995 when Emmitt Smith set a TD scoring record. I believe the same also applies in year 2000 when the Cowpokes battled the Titans on a Christmas night. Otherwise this day is one where you eat yourself silly, enjoy your presents and kept the record player Christmas friendly...
