No Brotherly Love.

I will say this. I take back all I said negatively about Joe Flacco. The Delaware prodigy played his heart out with little to show for it. I even dare say that Flacco had a better afternoon statistically than Tom Brady. the scoreboard of course said otherwise. Congrats to the Patriots as they advance to Indianapolis on February 5th to tackle the Giants by virtue of a 23-20 win.

With today's Championship Games a few hours away I will now give you a new phrase to learn to like. Instead of 'Super Bowl' try 'SUP-HAR Bowl!' That's right. There will be tee shirts bearing this name when the Ravens and 49ers win their respective games over the Giants and Patriots.

Savant Garde!

Call me a cynic. Three years removed from being owned by Major League Baseball I question the wisdom of having a 135 million dollar payroll for 2012. Yes, the Cowboys are your next door neighbor and the market value has been upped. Have we not learned from the A-Rod fiasco 2000? If we indeed do get Prince Fielder, the answer is an emphatic no!

Nab and Tackle-Not Tabernacle!

Still chuckling about the appearance of Eric Nadel and Chuck Greenberg on Wednesday. Mere hours before the Darvish signing deadline. Apparently the two boys also have a love for musis in addition to baseball. Having had many a run-in with both men it's always great to see passion personified in person. I also have to wonder if Chuck is happier away from the Rangers than with them? His other minor league teams keep him busy as well.

Still The Fisher King!

Every start for Darvish will resemble a rock concert in the stands. Capturing and keeping the attention of the 18-24 year old demographic will be a snap. Lets hope there are no Japanese/Iranian Kardashians in the midst. I hope this kid comes better than advertised for 2012 and onward.
