    Tanning 101

    Day two go ahead and add about five more minutes to your double side routine. I also recommend that you tan after the peak hours of 10A-2P. Based on years of practice I also know that it usually takes a solid two months to develop a deep dark tan-if that is what you are seeking.

    Kenny and Larry 1 Year Removed.

    The night before all this anger went down, The Angels were in town for an important four game set. Game one was a frustrating extra-inning loss, courtesy of a Garrett Anderson grand salami. Due to Kenny's injury he would be unable to play. Someone in the media (I forget who) went so far as to suggest that Kenny was faking his injury so not to face Anaheim. That set Mr. Rogers off and the rest as they say is history.

    Drafts and Looks.

    Last Saturday I watched a good part of the NHL draft to see what new names I could learn to pronounce. I was surprised at the number of defensemen that were drafted! I also noticed something you don't see in the NFL or NBA or MLB drafts...All the GM's and managers were in the same room!

    Chalk this Bias Up To Whom?

    Last week I saw first hand a newly revamped San Diego Padre team take two of three from the Texas Rangers. In the two games won, each should have counted as a loss. Back to last Tuesday, there was a Don Denkinger-like out call made on Gary Matthews in the 9th inning. THAT was bad enough, but not as bad as what Mark Teixeira then had to accept...

    Keep Those Spirits Up!

    This period leading up to the start of August can resemble a ghost town in some parts. Depending on how much foot traffic you generate, it can get REALLY quiet from June til August. Long term food servers know to save for this time of year. Managers bemoan the fact that labor costs will be equal to the amount of biz that comes through the front door.
