I did see something rare and interesting yesterday in Arlington. In between drizzle and cooler temps amidst the clouds, I saw two rainbows that formed out toward the third base side of the Ballpark. Blurry at first then more pronounced, my trusty Canon did a real good job at capturing that ten minute moment of a rarity. That was after capturing the start of a wonderful sunset...
Three weeks ago I was called a fool for suggesting that Zack Grienke and Ron Mahay make it to Rangerland. Today I feel vindicated as two people no less than Evan Grant and Jamey Newberg commented on their blogs the two ballplayers were within the Texas radar.
The big news of the day begins on the left coast, where Chino Hills, Ca. was the epicenter for a 5.4 earthquake that frayed some nerves and brought people back to that scary morning in January of 1994 when the area of Northridge was hit with a 6.7 temblor. At 11:44 am there was a rolling sensation that lasted for roughly 30 seconds.
86 was the temperature at dawn in North Texas, with 105 the scheduled high. Damn, that's hot! Even by Texas standards. There's a chance we see some stray showers later in the week. It's funny now to just know that even after you shower and do your hygiene thing the moment you leave your house and head for the car you will be drenched in sweat.
For eight years the good people of Beantown have dealt with the shenanigans of Manny Ramirez. To even begin to chronicle some of the misdeeds and malapropisms would only state the obvious. This whole scenario reminds me of a divorce that needs to be finalized.
