    Billboards I'd Like to See!

    "The only thing our refs shave....is the ice! Come in from the cold!" I think that is hilarious. Note to David Stern: Learn to laugh a little. Whoever came up with this line should get a King's ransom. Of course this got me to thinking (since I am a huge hockey fan) If I were to use some phrases to get your attention, I'd say the following:

    Picks for 2007.

    On a night when the NFL completes it's last rounds of exhibition games before they begin for real, on a night when I witnessed four errors in one inning, on a night when College Football makes a triumphant return to the gridiron, and on a day when North Texas felt like a post tsunami war zone for a spell, it was gratifying to merely take a step back, inhale and look ahead to all that lies ahead after the Labor Day weekend...

    A Last Gasp?

    The breezes seem to change direction more in late August. It's also weird to watch the sun set before 8pm when (in June) it was bright until the nine o'clock hour. The long shadows remind me that summer is about over. I believe most people consider Labor Day weekend the last gasp for summer fun before school and cooler weather do their seasonal commencement.

    Red...and Blue!

    If you were one of the many to have arisen at about 5am today, you were treated to a very rare occurrence-A Red Moon Full! This phenomenon is rare in that you have a parallel with the Sun, Moon and Earth in the same line. If you wonder what causes the Moon to blush, that is from the sun rising and setting wherever the eclipse of the moon happens to occur. Again this is a rarity.

    America has proven to be a heck of a place to be forgiven when you have done wrong and made a mistake. Falling along the lines of paying a debt to society and then getting a second chance. This is more applicable when there's an issue of addiction involved.
