    Opening Day Memories!

    There is something special about Opening Day in any sport. For baseball it takes on a more deeper meaning for the fans. Any baseball fan will tell you that baseball season is a timeless magical rocket ride into the stratosphere. Like a first date that just won’t end. The moment you enter said stadium, you are assured of three hours of anything. A pitchers duel, a slugfest, a game of errors, something historic, something old, or an occurrence new.

    Civil Faux Pas?

    Speaking to Red Sox fans these days is like talking to an admitted alcoholic. Two titles in four years after 86 years of futility, much like that guy (which I am) who is able to stay straight after years of foul-ups, bleeps, and blackouts. People aren’t afraid to admit they are Red Sox fans. Now perceived as media darlings unlike the Yankees.

    Rudy and Kermit.

    The old noggin isn’t what it used to be as I find myself having occasional moments of forgetfulness. Being off by a day on a particular birthday, missing an anniversary date by a day or three has me a little frazzled. It used to be the cranium ran like a steel trap. Now I must recheck my sources to make sure I am correct. The process of aging is beginning to take it’s toll.

    Of Little Consolation.

    On Sunday the Dallas Mavericks blew an 11 point lead to the San Antonio Spurs before bowing out at game’s end. Go ahead and use Dirk’s injury if you want. Tuesday was a gimme at home against the Clippers.
