    Quarter Haps with Team W.A.G.E.

    Knowing fully well how tough it is to recruit people who aren't shy and like to sing or provide vocal support, it was a welcome reprieve to discover I had a kindred spirit with one Greg Johnson. Greg was quick to point out another fun locale to go singing on Sunday nights. That place is Sherlock's in Dallas. It also happens to be Service Industry Night. SIN for short. Yes, there's alot of that.

    Summers Tall Shadows

    It is rare to see multiple Rangers on a rehab assignment on the same given night. I was chuckling on the drive to Frisco because if I include the Roughrider skipper Steve Buechele, I have had pictures taken with Steve, Ian Kinsler, Dustin Nippert, and Nellie Cruz. Cristian Guzman also part of the walking wounded getting work in Frisco.

    Wine Of The Times

    David Feigel and Bob Stephenson did a stellar job in providing a comfortable setting, lush ambiance, vast room, and voluminous information for patrons to get their fill and then some. It always impresses me when I overhear wine snobs toss banter back and forth to describe a said favorite wine or a good vintage year. The passion sometimes gets heated.

    That Autumn Breeze...

    It was this exact feeling I experienced as I prepared for what would be a busy albeit fun Friday afternoon in North Texas. It was a little after 7 am. I needed to run an errand and I felt it. My clothes weren't sticking to me after ten minutes. I wasn't perspiring. Better still, with the smattering of clouds peering in from the North, I even smelled the rain in the air. It was either West or East, but the clouds told their story.

    And Making the Call.

    It brought a smile to my face as the cold front happened for a second year in a row when the Minnesota Twins made a visit to Arlington, Texas. Last year my boy Fish was elated that the temps dropped from 93 to 75 by games end.
