    Icy Homecoming!

    First up were the Toronto Maple Leafs. A team that began their season 0-6 before Niklas Hagman cranked out a hat trick in a 6-3 win at Anaheim, Wednesday had the makings of a trap game. For a while the Stars played like they were wishing they were watching the World Series.

    Rise and Fall!

    Washington was really strong with points off the bench as Andray Blatche and Randy Foye contributed 39 points alongside 29 points and 9 assists for Gilbert Arenas. Caron Butler was on the floor for almost 39 minutes. It seemed like Washington didn't need too many second chance attempts at baskets. Most went in the first time.

    Back to the Hardwood.

    Gilbert Arenas makes an appearance in Dallas tonight. A healthy Arenas makes for a tougher Wizard team. Mark Cuban says the game is not a sellout...YET! I will be there and and will do what I always do when I attend a sporting event there. Coffee, pictures, and a lot of fun regardless...

    Gridiron Thunder and Lightning...

    4. You would think that on a day when God is resting, a good day would be had by the Cardinals AND the Angels! Well, I got that half right. The Blitz-happy team from Arizona created all kinds of mismatches for Eli and crew for which they fell 24-17. That was a shock to me. First two game skid for the Giants since December 2008...

    Ten Year Payne

    The 1999 U.S. Open will forever be etched in my mind for how magnanimous he was in victory over Daddy-To-Be-Phil Mickelson (on Phil's birthday no less!). This one year after losing the Open by a stroke in San Francisco. A tournament he had led the 1st three days.
