    Avery Johnson now Moves on!

    The funeral march has begun in Dallas. Avery is reportedly gone as will Mike D'Antone for Phoenix once that series ends with the Spurs. Steve Kerr can forever question the wisdom of trading for Shaq much like Dallas wondering about Jason Kidd. News reports of a house party Josh Howard hosted after Game 4 is not sitting well with the Dallas brass or Avery.

    Great Scott!

    Congratulations to Adam Scott for winning the Byron Nelson 2008 tourney after a thrilling three hole playoff against golfer Moore. Perhaps there is a trend in the making. Last year Scott Verplank won the trophy. This year Adam Scott. Is there something in a name? Don't ask the Mavericks!

    A Cool Draft in North Texas!

    What a welcome relief it was to awaken to cooler temps. The cool front actually began it's arrival in the 9 o'clock hour last night. This day it was more noticeable. The evening was a welcome arrival to the Ballpark with two of my lady friends after a day of watching golf in Irving.

    Byron Is Back!

    It's one thing to watch a golf tourney to watch on television. It's quite another to see the athletes up close and personal. With the Byron now well underway, this day I would enjoy with friends and family up close and personal. I would also be making multiple trips to keep the imbibers happy with the ice and soft drinks. We had a hole-in-one made at number 5.

    Longing for Fish?

    The Miami Dolphins made it official early by signing Chris Long to a long term deal before the start of Saturday's draft. I personally don't get as geeked up about the draft weekend as the rest of the world does. To me it is nothing more than a game of Russian Roulette. In this case it takes months, sometimes years before you discover just how lethal that gunshot was.
