    Mom and M.O.N. share a Birthday!

    Seven years ago today this website was born. On the advice from my friend and radio mentor Norm Gregory, I began to incorporate my love of photography along with opinions, jokes, and sporty observations via the blog and here I am seven years later. It has been a wonderful stretch of time here in North Texas. Somehow I do not see myself going anywhere else...

    Omens and Observations.

    Friday night was nothing if not interesting. Special thanks to Brad for the platinum hookup. One day after defeating the Phoenix Coyotes in Arizona 4-2, Daniel Carcillo would turn a hat trick in a 4-2 victory for Phoenix. Dallas looked weak offensively and finding the crease much less the net was another matter entirely. Brad Richards did not play, and we may not see Sergei Zubov throughout the playoffs.

    Remembering MLK 40 Years Later

    Alas it has been forty years since we lost the services of a leader, a minister, an agitator for change but by non-violent means. Martin Luther King was struck by an assassin's bullet outside the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee at the height of a sanitation strike.

    Ohio and Bad Henry.

    I sit before the keyboard this evening with tornado and thunderstorm warnings all around me. A cold front is about to shoot through North Texas after 10pm and make things interesting if not a little bumpy.
