With only an idea of where the shot had to land, Phil grabbed his iron and knew he had to somehow hit his ball under one tree and over another with overhang to equally content with. He did it! As Phil jogged out to see where his ball had landed, the television replays were having a field day with the trajectory and velocity of Mr. Mickelson's ball. As the golf shot finally came to rest, a five foot putt was all that separated him from victory or a three player play-off.
Hard to believe but 45 years ago this day, Mom and Dad said their 'I do's ' and tied the knot. Still together in an age where divorce is common in almost 55% of most marriages, my guess is that Dad learned to be a good listener as he got older. One of the best bits of advice I was ever told was, 'If ever you are called by your complete birth name, you are in a world of trouble!' Right you were on that one Dad, and Thanks!
Only recently have I caught onto this 'Ultimate Fighting' craze that continues to to grow in popularity. There are so many federations now. UFC, MMA, WEC, to name a few. One month ago I started watching episodes of 'Tapout' on tv. Mask makes me laugh. I love how he wears his emotions on his sleeve. I get a kick out of watching Punkass make his points. The program/series does a great job at discovering up and coming talent as well as point out the pitfalls of life on the road in search of a dream.
If the rest of the baseball world hasn't figured it out yet, North Texas has a very special player in Josh Hamilton. Say what you want about missed opportunities and making wrong choices. What I am seeing with my own eyes on a day to day basis is something from the archives of Superman with daily feats of superhuman strength.
