Getting Closer!
Slow news day so it was time to instill a poem to match the mood of the day. By all means enjoy!

Do I believe that the Bengals can defeat the Colts? No! I'll leave that to the Steelers. Will the Cowboys be ready for Detroit? Yes, but again it will be done in dramatic fashion. Keep your eye on La Roi Glover with the big play I predict. I also believe we are seeing a Joey Galloway the Cowboys wish they saw...
It wasn't until after the game that the team learned of Bill Parcells attending the funeral of his younger brother in New Jersey. The few times the cameras panned on Big Tuna, you sensed his mind was elsewhere, possibly seeking perspective or maybe in a fog. His 'troubled heart' comment after the game really hit home. Dallas in command at 6-3. Next up: Detroit. They were the team that played a fun Monday nighter back in 1994, the year of the throwback uni's. With Roy Williams I foresee some fireworks.
A cold front shot through this day. It was 72 degrees at midnight. While taking the afternoon stroll, the winds gusted to 30 mph as the mercury dropped all day.
Last week we saw Dick Vermeil make a gutty call at game's end. Yesterday Jon Gruden does the same after ex-Longhorn Chris Simms connects for a 30 yard TD pass. Mike Alstott bulling his way in for 2 and a 36-35 win on the Redskins. That rocked! Simeon Rice was all world...I am curious if the Redskins Bucs matchup marked the first time that two lefties duked it out? Darn, more homework!
