    From Juggle to Snuggle!

Nine days away from Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday seasons, North Texas FINALLY has weather to put you in the holiday spirit! What began as a 72 degree read yesterday kept falling by day as a cold front shot through and the wind howled! We'll be lucky to top 55 the next few days. A nice finish to the day. Speaking of fantastic finishes...

Flash back to 9/19th. Another Monday night affair involving the Cowboys. A 13 point lead, 57 minutes of perfection, and suddenly two lightning strikes in the name of Santana Moss. Roy Williams vilified as Dallas lost 14-13. Monday night in Philly, the Cowboys absolutely stink out the joint for 56 minutes before Drew connects for a deep toss and a TD, and then the play.

Similar to the ill-advised pass in the flat Drew made in Seattle for a pick, Donovan McNabb did the same thing. A case of QB and receiver not on the same page as Roy Williams gets the game winning interception and a 21-20 victory. The Cardiac Cowboys once again create a fantastic finish. One that should not have been. To think that Big Tuna's bunch were 7 points short of a 9-0 record. Wow!

It wasn't until after the game that the team learned of Bill Parcells attending the funeral of his younger brother in New Jersey. The few times the cameras panned on Big Tuna, you sensed his mind was elsewhere, possibly seeking perspective or maybe in a fog. His 'troubled heart' comment after the game really hit home. Dallas in command at 6-3. Next up: Detroit. They were the team that played a fun Monday nighter back in 1994, the year of the throwback uni's. With Roy Williams I foresee some fireworks.

Tale of two games: I was always a George Karl fan from his days in Seattle when dealing with Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. Last night for 47 minutes, I was impressed with the defense of Carmelo Anthony, Marcus Camby, and the finesse of Demarr Johnson and Andre Miller. I saw a rare 19-0 run and thought,'uh oh' for the Mavs. Like a good AA meeting, Dallas kept coming back! Dirk started hitting shots, finished with 35 points, and the Mavs proceeded to defeat the Nuggets 83-80, improving to 5-2. This after Denver pushed ahead to a 64-45 lead in period three. New term for the Mavs defense: With 2.4 seconds left I saw the classic Diop chop block. Priceless! Thursday night Atlanta comes to Dallas. In the Nuggets last 16 visits to Big D, Denver now 1-15. Ouch.

Laughable: When Terrell Owens has his arbitration hearing Friday, his presiding arbiter, Richard Bloch is a season ticket holder for the Redskins! Isn't this a conflict of interest? Just wondering.

Dallas Stars try to get to 12-6-1 in Anaheim, Phillip Boucher has been red hot with the scoring as of late and the bench strength has kept Dave Tippett's bunch nipping on the heels of the Kings in the competitive Western division.

Happy to see the measures baseball has now undertaken on steroids and amphetamines. Congrats to Albert Pujols and A-Rod for their MVP gains. One of these two men will be your next home run champion when the dust settles and a career ends.

Time to start the fireplace. Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D
