Line Them Up! Week 7 NFL PIcks!
No rest for the weary as yours truly now takes a moment to crow just a little. Six straight weeks I have been accurate in correctly picking the game that could feature an upset factor.
The Dallas Cowboys played a game so thorough and dominant that took me all the way back to a November date in 2003 when Bill Parcells took his Dallas Cowboys to a 24-20 home win over the Carolina Panthers. First five game win streak since 2008. Jason Garrett now gets to take on his former team where he played and coached.
Again a couple of instances where the right team was picked but failed to cover. If you want a ballclub to keep an eye to be the perfect point spread spoiler.
Tony Sparano has always been able to have an immediate impact wherever he has coached be it Dallas, Miami or Oakland in this case.
Bickering or not you don't have to like who you play for so long as you win. If in fact there is a rift between the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh you would not have thought that after the comeback win in St. Louis on Monday.
Even in the confines of 80 degree heat in Miami we saw that cheese won't wilt. Leave it to Aaron Rodgers to tell everyone to R-E-L-A-X.
So glad I don't live in Ohio with the last name of Nugent. Bengals gave away an easy victory. The Eagles landed hard on the Giants on Sunday night.
Once again a successful week for this guy. 8-6-1 straight up (59-31-1 YTD) and 9-6 against the spread (53-38 YTD). So long as I can break even I am content as the overall record sits at about 58%. Easily within striking distance of reaching 62% when the season ends.
I am record to say that Jacksonville will get their first win of the season against the Browns. Perfect storm being the letdown after getting a rare win over the Steelers. It also won't surprise me if the New York Giants come into Arlington and catch a lethargic Dallas Cowboys club on the heels of a Super Bowl upset in Seattle.
Tony Romo also has bruised ribs. Whoever replaces Doug Free better be prepared come 325 pm.
Beginning with this night bad weather or not this week I like New England (-9.5), Buffalo (-4.5), Miami (+3.5), Indianapolis (-3), New Orleans (+3), Green Bay (-7), Jacksonville (+5.5) to cover AND win as Blake Bortles appears to be channeling his inner Ben Roethlisberger, Seattle (-6.5), Baltimore (-7), Tennessee (+4.5), Kansas City (+4.5) in what will also be an upset game like their baseball counterparts, Giants (+5.5), Arizona (-3.5), San Francisco (+6.5) in the Sunday night game and Houston (+3.5) in the Monday nighter.
Look for more JJ Watt magic and it won't surprise me one bit if the New York Giants play a near perfect game with newest threat Kevin Ogletree. The Chiefs is also a game I would happily go after.
Unlike me you need not try to bet every game. Go after that which you can afford. Yes we are almost at the halfway point of the 2014 season.
Happy watching. Have fun and be safe wherever you go to watch the action.
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
