Patty, The SLA, and 1 New Addition!

Hello and Happy Saturday to you.

It took a while but cooler weather has finally reached North Texas. It is going to be remaining for a while to come. Just in time for winter to feel just like winter.

Not too many things that are as cold as the weather here in Dallas yet you could make a case for the Mavericks. Again they looked old and haggard down the stretch in their match with the Pacers. Indiana had not won in Dallas since 2004. Paul George with 30 points changed the Hoosiers fortunes with an assist from David West. 

Two losses in a row for Dallas as they now travel to Cleveland and play the Cavaliers. I remember watching the Mavericks almost lose to the Cavs 1 year ago the day after the Super Bowl here in Dallas. Let's hope the young upstarts don't finish strong at home.

Birthday wishes to current ESPN P.D. Tom Lee here in Dallas. Yes, Tom I remembered. I always made Tom laugh when asking, 'Are there any Republicans in Liberal, Kansas?' Tom's birthplace.

This day in 1974 Patricia Hearst kidnapped by a group called the Symbionese Liberation Army or SLA for short. 75 days of seclusion and alleged brainwashing. A bank holdup and a while lot of crazy left wing gibberish from this group. I recall the kidnapping occurred days before Patty's 20th birthday.

24 hours removed from the Big Game. Put me on record to say that I believe the Giants are the better team, the more complete team. In Super Bowl 46 I like the Giants to win by a score of 24-23. Maybe some special teams issues to be the story lead...

Later today I will be joining the podcast world and have a special page created for the purpose of reaching a worldwise audience while addressing the sports world with a Texas flair. It doesn't get much better than that. No one to answer to and a vision to take forward. My thanks to Cedric Bailey for this new venture and chance to take my game to another level...
