    A New Addition!

    Hello, and Happy Friday America.

I hope the week has treated you well. It looks like cooler more seasonal weather is about to grace North Texas. I knew it was too early to think we'd get through a mild winter. If all plays out according to the trends we should have an instance or two of ice and snow. That's more than fine by me.

For the last year or so I have been toying with the idea of employing a show via the podcast route. Like most people I had no idea what that would entail or how much time and money that would entail. It looks like I am about to get an answer and a crash course in how to.

I'll never admit to saying it's a good thing to be a dabbler. I know many people who do one thing incredibly well, are successful and make a living at what they do. All my life I have been a dabbler and managed to do or know just enough to be able to multi-task at a bunch of things. This is legitimate grounds for qualifying for the insanity label.

Maybe it's the time we are living in. Maybe it's the wave of the future. Each waking day an overabundance of information overload. Some dislike severely whereas I try to embrace the avenues as they present themselves.

Once upon a time I would keep a journal and retain a bunch of needless facts including the weather of the day, what teams won and by what score, mark anniversaries and the like. Now I can do that by way of the Blog, Tweet, Facebook, and (beginning Saturday) by way of the podcast.

Courtesy of a young man with over 25 years radio experience Cedric Bailey-just like my radio predecessor-now opens a door for me to reach out to an even bigger audience outside the state of Texas. Topics and trends will not be an issue or a problem. Guests will be a snap. Word of mouth and spreading the word will be the fun challenge! I'm getting excited.

Rest assured you won't be disappointed with the mojo 'Mr. Will' is about to lay down. After a 1 month break I am back, and I'm not going away. The only person I'll have to answer to is myself. Amen. I'm thinking something simple like 'Hanging With Mr. Will' is appropriate enough, don't you think?

The Mavericks looked really old and tired against the Thunder on Wednesday night. Now they must face off with the upstart Pacers later today. I still recall how ten years ago on Turkey Day it was Indiana who gave the Mavericks their first loss of the young season in Indiana. Having jerseys stolen didn't help.

Until the Stars can figure out a way to defeat the Sharks on the road I cannot and will not a consider this current squad of potential talent playoff worthy come April. Hence another quiet spring on the rink. Let's hope this doesn't carry over to the hardwood.

Happy Birthdays to Roger Staubach and Fran Tarkenton! Ten years ago today was the first time the Patriots win the Super Bowl in dramatic fashion in New Orleans on the heels of 9-11 and U2 as the entertainment that halftime. 14 underdogs and a 20-17 victory for some rookie from Michigan named Tom Brady. In doing so New England effectively grounded 'The Greatest Show On Earth'.

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
