Nab and Tackle-Not Tabernacle!
Happy Friday everyone from warm and sunny North Texas!
Is it possible to have sprig fever in January. The past few days have got me in a lather to be anywhere other than where I currently stand. Wonderfully warm summer-like weather again making the patio a very desired place here in the Uptown and Park Cities facilities.
Cool River is also a very desired place for the celebrities to roll on by to enjoy a drink or a meal ever so anonymously. Last night Houston Texan receiver Andre Johnson did exactly that. I always find it curious how certain personality traits will reflect on how well that player performs on the field. Johnson was a quick study in focused, intense, and shy. This explains ten years of excellence and servitude for the youngest franchise in the NFL.
Still chuckling about the appearance of Eric Nadel and Chuck Greenberg on Wednesday. Mere hours before the Darvish signing deadline. Apparently the two boys also have a love for musis in addition to baseball. Having had many a run-in with both men it's always great to see passion personified in person. I also have to wonder if Chuck is happier away from the Rangers than with them? His other minor league teams keep him busy as well.
FINALLY a road win for the Dallas Mavericks! The two losses in Los Angeles were bad enough. Go ahead and include the buzzer beater in Oklahoma City a few weeks back. If a 4th loss were going to happen with less than three ticks of the clock left you have to wonder about the stamina and sticktuitiveness of the Dallas defense. Thankfully a great contribution by Roddy B and Shawn Marion while Dirk and Vinny C nurse a bad knee and sprained foot. Victory in the land of the Mormon Tabernacle.
New Orleans is next on the docket before a return home which will include a ring ceremony on Wednesday night against the T-Wolves. Suns are here Monday night. I'm there...Yu Darvish press conference tonight.
Today in 1980 and 1985 Super Bowl victories for the Steelers and 49ers in Pasadena and Palo Alto 31-19 and 38-16 over the Rams and Dolphins. And now you know!
Make it a great day!
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
