A Labor Of Love.
Happy Sunday Everyone. Hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend.
Man oh man, some wild finishes in college football! Auburn won a game they should have lost. Notre Dame loses a game that took six hours to determine the outcome due to stormy conditions. Even worse in Ann Arbor, Mi. where for the first time, after two lightning delays, was the game cancellation late into the 3rd period. Crazy weather indeed.
Where water is concerned, it's a given hat;s what a duck takes to. What if you play indoors? You get a butt-whooping by the well-traveled LSU Tigers. To the tune of 40-27. It wasn't even close. Even with Jarrett Lee at the helm for LSU, he made fewer mistakes with sporadic passing and a running game that got better as the game progressed.
I was really impressed with the play of T Bo Hebert. Son of Bobby Hebert, the left guard at 6'3" and 305 is a hoss! The secondary of the Tigers gave the Ducks fits. The crowd of almost 90,000 was probably 80,000 Tiger fans. Lord, they travel well! Yes, some tweaks remain the rest of the season but for one night LSU represented the SEC well.
Boise St. looked good in their kickoff in Atlanta with the Bulldogs of Georgia. Ditto to Minnesota for almost pulling off the upset of the Trojans of USC. Ohio State-Wo cares?
Nothing planned for today. Just lay low and keep the dogs happy. Windier weather ahead and lows in the low 60s by Tuesday morning! Can you believe it? Neither can I?
Be safe out there. Cops out in full force. Believe it!
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
