    Week 2-What Will I Do???

Hello and Happy Friday everybody! Today, I am 47 and a half :)

This week has rolled on by. Comforted in the knowledge we may finally see remnants of rain and storms all weekend long in North Texas. I hope this will be more of the case in Western Texas and the communities parched by severe drought and malnutrition of animals and foods and the like. 2011 has been a year of epic in Texas. Not all of it for the best of reasons.

My thanks to the good people of Park Place in Plano for the hospitality and invite for a gathering to raise awareness for Hope's Door and also to the local Polo playing kids out Prestonwood way. Saw quite a few familiar faces and made new friends along the way. Fun time all around and a SPECIAL thanks to Greg Johnson and Jena Ryan. Two mover and shakers in the North Texas community. Fun times!

Ah, what to do for an encore? How can I exceed 12-3-1 in correctly playing the point spread in Week 2. I doubt that I can. I will however do my best and see what I can correctly predict for this weekend. Some of these games I absolutely would not go near if a betting man. That said, I am pretty safe when stating that my lock of the week for this Sunday will occur in Pittsburgh when the Steelers exert some ugly payback of the Ravens to a bird of a different plumage, the Seahawks. If the special teams decide to awaken Sunday, it could be a 45-0 kind of day in Steeltown.

Knowing that Arizona has never won a road game in Hogs country I'd be pretty safe with that call as well. If I were to keep an eye open on a possible thrill ride with the point spread, I'd tell you to take a chance on Carolina as a home underdog getting ten points. For a possible upset, okay I'll say it. Jacksonville to do what the Cowboys did and put a scare to the Jets before NY pulls away in the 53rd minute.

DO NOT TOUCH the Cowboys-49ers game. That has trouble written all over it. This has the smell of a blowout all around. Just not sure which way. The rule to remember is which team is more playoff bound based on the work of 2010.

Okay, for Week 2 in the NFL I like: New Orleans (-6.5), Detroit (-8), Jacksonville as a possible upset alert (+9), Buffalo (-3), Washington (-3.5), Tennessee (+6), Pittsburgh for my lock of the week (-14), Carolina (+10), Minnesota (-3), Cleveland (-2), Dallas (-3) in a possible trap game, Houston (-3), New England (-7), Cincinnati (+3.5), Atlanta (+2.5) in Michael Vick's return to Georgia, and The Giants in the Monday Nighter (-6).

Happy watching, be safe, and remember to only bet what you think you can afford. All of this done for entertainment purposes only. I hope My Vikings have a better turnout this weekend.

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
