    Who's Got a Thunder Jacket?

    Happy Friday everybody!

I hope the week, and the year is winding down exactly as you would like it to. Lord knows the new year ia about to arrive, ready or not. I, for one, am glad for come the 1st, 'Mr. Will' goes back into warrior mode with the diet, the health, and the lifestyle. Been a little lazy of late and do not like feeling sluggish.

If you saw that offensive juggernaut of a Valero Bowl instant classic, you were not disappointed. Almost 1400 yards of total offense, 123 points in 60 minutes. 43 in the 3rd quarter alone! Proof that RG3 really IS Superman! A wild 67-56 Baylor win on the Washington Huskies. Will Robert opt to return for one more year?

What I fond telling about this game was the total number of yards for Baylor. 777 exactly. Okay, I k now that Baylor is a religious university and all. But to have a quarterback with the Super Bowl moniker AND matching the number of perfection as quoted in the bible? WOW! Even I am impressed. Instant classic on the sports shows, no doubt.

Not sure what frustrated me more. Seeing the Mavericks fall to 0-3 in the manner that they did or seeing Rick Nash do what he always does when he visits Big D. Score goals and create havoc for us.

Two goals by #61 for Columbus-the cellar dwellers of the NHL-enabled the Blue Jackets to gain their first road win of the season by a 4-1 count. The game marked a return for Kari Lehtonen at goal after 12 games away. He played well with 25 saves while the Stars struggles continue on the power play. Sean Mason was all world between the netting for Columbus.

It used to be Dallas rarely if ever lost at home. In 2011-2012 that home record is now 11-6-1. Dallas now prepares for the Bruins on New Years Eve. Having lost three of four this is one game they'd really like to have.

Great to be back the AAC to catch some hockey. Even greater to run into President and CEO Jim Lites while entering the building prior. Always a great smile and something positive to say. We had a fun discussion for a few moments. Thanks, Jim!

The night wasn't a total loss. Heck when you meet two sisters from Austin and they both enjoy a cigar you do the next best thing. Hit the Havana Cigar Shop and light one up while Dale Hansen walks by to say hi. Pretty cool, I'd say!

Side note: Last Monday I posed the question to Jason Garrett about using what he experienced on the sidelines 1/3/94 when Emmitt did his thing at the Giants. No response. Today Emmitt Smith called out the Cowboys! I found that rather telling. I guess when you were the man, you can do that sort of thing.

A return trip to the AAC tomorrow night with the 0-3 Mavericks and Toronto with Coach Dwane Casey making his first appearance back after 3 years of service to Dallas.

    Make it a great weekend!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
