    Being Right is Not Important.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Be careful what you asked for...

As you know last night I voiced a concern about Tony Romo being able to withstand the rigors of a tough New York pass rush. I also said to watch out for the efforts of Ahmad Bradshaw. Call it a gut feeling. Something I get every once in a while.

I was saddened to hear the news that Tony Romo is now out with a broken collarbone after a crunching sack by a Giant defender. Not what the doctor had in mind and you saw the air in the Dallas psyche just dissipate. This after a strong first half where Dallas jumped out to a 20-7 lead on timely defense and some good play-calling. Alas it was not to be as New York would erupt for 31 unanswered points before Dallas answered back.

Did anyone really expect the Cowboys to be sitting at 1-5 after 7 weeks? Did we also anticipate a World Series in Arlington? This has to be killing Jerry Jones. Hate to say it, but I am not anticipating special from the mind or arm of Jon Kitna. Poor guy played on an 0-16 Lion team in 2008. Need I say more?

Overall a 9-5 record against the spread and 10-4 head to head. Best week since Opening Day. To the Cowboys credit they were penalized less. They showed heart toward the end and at the very beginning. Eli Manning allowed the Cowboys to remain in the game with 3 interceptions. The 41-35 score is verfy misleading as New York dominated in all aspects of this game. To the point fans were leaving the stadium halfway through the 3rd period. Lots of booing and a chant or two of 'Let's Go Rangers!'

A cast has been placed on the foot of Brett Favre. An actual game-time decision on Sunday? Be serious! Sorry Brett, I disagree with you on this one. Sit down and save your life. Please! I predict a mutiny on the Vikings sideline when Randy Moss can't get a catch and Brett Favre can't complete a toss. It's coming.

Many in the media are already giving the World Series ring to the Rangers. Excuse me, have you seen the starting Three that San Francisco feature? Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Jonathon Sanchez! Going against Cliff Lee, CJ Wilson, and Colby Lewis. Starting pitching favors the Giants. The relief will favor Texas. So will middle relief and overall team speed. Buster Posey, Aubrey Huff, and Juan Uribe match up very well with the tandem of Josh Hamilton, Vlad Guerrero, and Ian Kinsler.

Pac Bell Park is pitcher friendly while Rangers Ballpark is all about taking the over. Just like 1987 and 1991 2010 will be a year where the home team wins each game and the Giants win in 7 games. Further, I may piss off the Ranger faithful when I say this but...Cliff Lee is not God. He is due for a bad outing or for a team to figure out his modus operandi. Do not be surprised is what I am saying.

Not having a DH may help the Giants at home. Curious to see which Rangers can successfully hit. I am happiest for Bengie Molina. He gets a ring no matter what.

Not what the people of Fox wanted for ratings, but I do believe this can and will be an entertaining series. Go Rangers!

Sparse crowd tonight in Dallas to watch the Stars go Duck-hunter. Ryan Miller with a 2 goal night helped to keep the Stars off balance, especially in the penalty-kill as Anaheim would prevail 5-2.

All of a sudden the Stars have lost 3 of 4 after a 4-0 start. Not what you want in this long homestand. Loui Eriksson and Adam Burish looked staunch and Kari Lehtonen in defeat was making some text-book stops and saves. I'm looking forward to the return of Jamie Benn...

Always great to run into my kindred spirits for the nightly hockey. Team M and M with a few new recruits make for an entertaining night. Even a chance encounter with the guys from the band The Toadies. Way Cool!

Of late the predictions have been spot on. Let's see how this week pans out. Be safe out there!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
