Birthdays Galore and a Texas Watermark!

Happy Sunday to you! Happy birthday to such luminaries like Joe Namath, John Bonham, Brooke Shields, and Laura Boi.

Saturday night in Arlington was as complete victory as you could ask for. Brandon McCarthy went six innings, allowing only 1 run on three hits while the lineup put up 14 runs. Ian Kinsler had a long bomb as did Nelson Cruz. 45,000 fans invaded the Ballpark and were not disappointed. I was more surprised at how fast the game went!

For the first time since 2005, the Rangers move to 30-19. Eleven games over .500! A 5.5 game lead over the Angels after some late inning heroics in Seattle. The Angels relief will continue to be a bone of contention when games need to be closed out. The starting pitching isn't an issue, only the relievers...

Texas tried for a sweep later today in 94 degree heat. A 1 pm start. I will get to enjoy the game before heading to work and close out shop in Las Colinas.

Anxiously awaiting the release of the movies, 'Hangover' and that 'Taking Pelham 123' in two weeks. I am due for some summer viewing...
