Lessening the turnover count from 25 to 14 was the first order of business for Team Carlisle against the Motown Pistons. A team the Mavericks have dominated with nine wins in their last ten meetings.
For the last eleven years I have either watched the race at home or at work in the bar. One constant remains when the Grand daddy is going on. The final 25-30 laps you can hear a pin drop as fans listen to the announcers discuss whose car looks to be strongest, which team appears to have the upper hand, and what racer will best handle the conditions at hand.
Two days removed from the NBA All-Star Game it was assumed that maybe the Mavericks caught Miami at a good time. Wade was a little banged up, Udonis Haslem seemed to be a little off initially, Chris Bosh took all of the first half to get going. Even the Birdman was kept at bay for a good part of the first half.
There are 28 games left in the regular season here in Dallas. It begins with the 2006 and 2011 arch nemesis Miami Heat. Here's hoping Team Carlisle can begin the second half as they did in Indiana. With focus, conviction, a slight swagger, and with the leader of the pack, Dirk Nowitzki, able to carry Dallas on his back to offset to the onset of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
