The score remained 1-0 until late in the match. FCDallas was mere minutes away from walking out with a convincing shutout before one time Vancouver defender Greg Janicki took a free kick and deposited it past Chris Seitz for a 1-1 tie when all was said and done.
With no rest for the weary it was off to San Antonio for what would indeed be a tough Sunday night matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. A team they have not beaten in seven straight tries at the ATT Center.
The opponent was the Carolina Hurricanes. To say the Stars have essentially blown away the team from NASCAR country one need only be told that not since February 11th, 1996 was the last time the Dallas Stars lost a game to this franchise. That was so long ago the Hurricanes were then known as the Hartford Whalers. Prior to this game Dallas 9-0-1 in the last ten games with the Hurricanes.
Kenny Cooper is now a Seattle Sounder and Opening Day is now less than two weeks away. March 8th the fun is going to start with a 7:30 start time against the Montreal Impact at Toyota Stadium. Scoring was at issue in the latter part of the 2013 season under Schellas Hyndman.
