Blowing In The Wind...

Happy Monday everyone from windy and soon to be saturated North Texas.
A week of warm and humid is now about to finally give way to cooler, stormy, and wetter climes in North Texas. I dare say upon completion of this we will be over with all the drought talk on T.V.
Only in Texas can you have a Wind Advisory, Tornado Watch, and Flood Watch all in one fell swoop based on what the maps are conveying. The rain has been days in coming. I personally welcome the cooler weather on this the final Monday in Wintertime. Spring is about here.
A great weekend for watching a whole litany of sports. Luke Donald with an amazing playoff victory yesterday at Innsbruck. My boy Webb Simpson represented very well with a strong finish. I felt badly for Retief Goosen dealing with chronic back problems. A far cry from what he was capable of when playing in a playoff in 2001 against Tiger Woods in the U.S. Open.
It's being reported that Peyton Manning is bound for Denver. If indeed this is true, then Tim Tebow is a goner. The logical choice for the Gator is a return to Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tebow in Jacksonville would be a perfect fit. End of story. Too much trauma drama in Miami. That's my opinion.
So C.J. Wilson too umbrage to remarks made by Mike Napoli about owning Wilson come the regular season? To the point that C.J. goes onto his Twitter account and posts Napoli's cell phone to over 110,000 followers? That's pretty juvenile for a prank. C'mon C.J. you're better than this! Now there is bound to be some real fireworks when the Rangers and Angels meet in the regular season.
Speaking of Angels, some scoop for you. If you want to make some extra cash while watching the Angels in pre season. You won't see any Halo pitcher swing at a pitch. Mike Scioscia has let it be known that a fine will be assessed to any pitcher who dares to swing at a thrown ball. It's the skippers way of avoiding injury to the starting pitching a la A.J. Burnett...and now you know...
Mavericks in Denver before a showdown with the Lakers here on Wednesday. Dallas then embarks on a tough roadie with a host of playoff bound teams. Can the Mavs match their intensity from the Saturday win over the Spurs? We shall see.
Looking forward to working with Artie Clear on Thursdays on his show in the afternoons. Lots of passion and lots of energy to be sure. I look forward to it.
Great performance by Matt Harrison yesterday in Vegas against the Cubbies. Yu Darvish set for another start this afternoon in the desert as we get closer to Opening Day.
Tough Friday night loss to the Blackhawks Friday night for the Stars. A #3 seed with nine games remaining. It's going to be close but at the end of the day I still think Dallas gets denied for a 4th straight year before pennant visits begin again in 2013. A mix of 7 teams roughly five points apart for the 8th seed in the West. Turnovers and poor Blue-Line play an issue at times for the Stars. Down to the wire so enjoy viewing the remainder of the regular season.
Back to the NFL: Now you will see the fallout from the Peyton Place Chase for all the teams who were denied and snubbed. Much like Homecoming Night in school...
Make it a great day!
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
