    Six Years Removed From Popcorn!

    Happy Sunday Everyone!

I hope you have all survived the frenzy and fun that encompasses St. Patrick's Day. For me it is nothing more than a close call to being a hoiday baby. I missed by 3 hours and 57 minutes. Sheer Madness.

Which is the only way to even try to explain and even justify the swerves and swoons happening to so many college teams this weekend as we trim the field of 68 to 16. Deridingly I joked about how rare it is that a #2 seed falls to a #15 seed...only to have it happen TWICE in the space of a few hours on Friday. Go figure...Duke and Missouri: Thanks so much for ruining my now torn up bracket. This after a 15-1 Thursday. Pshaw!

Initially my St. Patrick's Day plan was to enjoy a night in Frisco to watch FC Dallas soccer. A subsequent 1-1 tie with the Portland Timbers. A phone call from a friend at the last minute brought me to the American Airlines Center for an I-35 matchup with the Mavericks and Spurs. When they played last January 29th in Dallas it was a Michael Jackson affair. A rabid double overtime 'Thriller' won by the Mavericks.

In that January game Dallas lost a 22 point lead when San Antonio went on an 18-3 run. After a 2-2 tie to start Saturday's game, Dallas never would not trail again. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 27 points, a set of key threes made at crunch time. The Spurs fell flat in a 106-99 defeat.

My thanks to the good doctor and Bill Mattingly for the birthday present. I had a blast inside the suites. I felt like Jackie Gleason. How Suite It Was! Great game, great food, great friends, and great fun! Where the game was concerned, kudos to Jason Kidd and Jason Terry as both made some nice contributions with the assists and shooting. This makes for a fun matchup with the Lakers on Wednesday. Minus Derek Fisher who is now in Houston. I didn't see that one coming...

Finally sat down and watched some exhibition baseball yesterday. Weird to see Albert Pujols in an Angels uniform. Equally good to watch the Rangers and Cubs play in Las Vegas. The Rangers look to be in great shape for 2012. I still believe Scott Feldman will be a starter and make great contributions for a twice denied World Series team.

Final round of PGA Golf at Innsbruck in Florida. I'll be keeping my eye on Webb Simpson to make things fun today in the final round.

Good news on the radio front to announce later this week. It's a done deal but I will withhold information until I get the okay to speak up. Yes, Dallas it really was six years ago today the Dallas Cowboys signed Terrell Owens under torrential rainfall in North Texas. It was theorized that Tom Landry and Clint Murchison were crying uncontrollably in heaven. The popcorn went cold. It also returns to Allen on the 31st when the Wranglers come home...

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
