    No Brotherly Love.

Hello and Happy Monday from warm and humid North Texas.

Go ahead and take your best pot shot at me. For three months I have spewed on and on about an all Harbaugh Super Bowl. I even had an idea for a really cool tee shirt that decreed 'Sup-Har-Bowl!' I was going to make a killing and put a few dollars away. Alas that is not going to be...

Nothing will top the feeling of a gut punch to the stomach. That was the very sensation I felt when Lee Evans failed to secure a game-winning touchdown at games end yesterday in Foxboro. Then there were the ghosts of Lin Elliott and Scott Norwood who came at the right time to rattle an otherwise consistent Billy Cundiff as the clock wound down. Man, that was tough to take! To his credit Cundiff was up front and matter-of fact when talking with reporters after the game.

I will say this. I take back all I said negatively about Joe Flacco. The Delaware prodigy played his heart out with little to show for it. I even dare say that Flacco had a better afternoon statistically than Tom Brady. the scoreboard of course said otherwise. Congrats to the Patriots as they advance to Indianapolis on February 5th to tackle the Giants by virtue of a 23-20 win.

Yesterday's game by the Bay in the rain was epic. Rare to see two games on the same day that live up to the billing playing great defense. The fact that Eli Manning had to throw 58 times to win speaks about just how difficult an afternoon Manning and the G-men had dealing with the 49ers. New York's ability to convert on 3rd down has been the big story this playoff season in my estimation.

Just when I thought nothing could top the debacle that touched Billy Cundiff along came poor Kyle Williams. His second of two muffs would cost San Francisco dearly in overtime. I would learn later in the day that he looked alot like Kenny Williams. The GM of the Chicago White Sox. Indeed, Kyle is the son of Kenny.

Fans in San Francisco will wonder what might have been had Ted Ginn Jr. been available. I still recall two runbacks by the Buckeye prodigy in a wild win over the Seahawks back in October. Was it just me or were Cowboys fans flashing back to Week 2 when a wild play led to an overtime win on the 49ers?

No doubt the NFL is excited at the prospect of a NY-Boston rematch of 4 years ago. The numbers should read well on February 5th. 4 years ago Eli had a come from behind victory over the undefeated Patriots. The same thing happened earlier this year at Foxboro.

The early lines have the Patriots as a three point favorite? Really? Take the Giants.

Better luck in 2012 for the Brothers Harbaugh. I hope Ray Lewis comes back for one more season. He and his Ravens deserve a much better fate!

Looking forward to a coffee klatch with the Love Coach. Always a discussion of sage proportions.

Cooler and wetter weather headed to North Texas. We need it. From 1-2 inches being predicted for this part of the parched Southwest.

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
