    Crowning Of The King.

    Happy Sunday My Friends!

'Twas a busy yet fun day spent at Valley Ranch as well as Rangers Ballpark Saturday. Just like in the month of April when the weather starts to become amenable for outdoor events, late September into early October has the same vibe for finding the time to do things. That time is indeed fleeting...

Jason Garrett exuded loads of confidence at yesterday's press conference right before practice. Coach was confident Tony Romo would start. He was throwing passes with little difficulty. Interesting note: Todd Archer asked Coach Garrett a question about the retirement of Mike Modano Friday. We learned that Jason Garrett and Mike Modano were friends and that Garrett attended quite a few Stars games back in the 90's. That was great information to know!

Still a myriad of injuries where the Cowboys are concerned, including Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, tackle Dockery, and Dave Buehler still nursing a hip flexor. Terrence Newman appears to be ready to go.

Friday night the Rangers clinched the West. For the second year in a row with Seattle in town, a banner was raised to the approval of 40,000 fans. Also a nice pitching matchup with Felix Hernandez and Alexei Ogando.

Scott Feldman did spot relief for a few innings. It really dudn't matter as Texas exploded for 6 runs in the 4th. Scary moment when Felix Hernandez took a line drive off his throwing forearm. He'll carry a nice bruise into October. He walked off the field under his own power.

More interesting was the record setting season attendance for the Rangers. Surpass 2.9 million in 2011. Another 40,000 Sunday and you would think 3 million will be very makeable in 2012. Kudos to Nolan Ryan and to Ron Washington as Texas improves their season record for a 5th straight year under Ron Washington.

Michael Young had some interesting comments post-game which we will play Monday night on KVCE radio. The SportsAngel will be in studio. She will also be interviewing TV-reality show/former NFL player Jeff Pakulak on Tuesday. Be sure to give a listen, ladies.

Picks were made on Friday. I expect some surprises to happen this day in the NFL. SO GLAD I wasn't in College Station Saturday. A 20-3 lead to the Cowboys lost 30-29 late! Ouch! Poor Aggies...

Going to catch another movie later this day...Report thereafter...

    Happy watching everyone!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
