    True Team Impact.

Hello and Happy Hump Day everyone!

Each year it seems like when June arrives you think you are prepared for the onslaught of warm weather that shall hit the Southwest. You shower in the morning, walk to your vehicle and begin to sweat. Crank up the A/C on the way to work and you cool off to the point of sniffles. Step outside again to enter work or run an errand and the cycle begins all over again. Sometimes a second or third shower is the order of the day and you still are sweating. Am told it is worse in Houston.

Not even sure what the Almanac is saying for 2011 summer side. I can tell you that the month has already begun on the hot and humid side. More of that on the way. Not that it mattered where I was last night.

Courtesy of a friend, I was allowed to enjoy the 2nd annual Team Impact Charity Function to help disadvantaged kids for the hope of a better life. Through knowledge, testimonials, and proper tools is the way this charity works.

Members of Power Team were on hand. The brainchild of Keith Brooking and Terence Newman. Two men who are all about giving back to their communities.

Numerous items were available via the silent auction process and Texas Hold Em was the way to make some raffle grub for prizes and the like. The Pavilion inside the Four Seasons was where this event was held. Quite a few faces were on hand to lend their support.

Great to see Stephen McGee, John Phillips, Keith, Terrence, Chris Gronkowski, former Ranger Rick Hill, and That Car Guy Joe Kirachi on hand to play and pay tribute to a good cause.

Food and Beverages were provided with a wonderful array of desserts in cup cake form. It was an honor to get to speak and witness to Keenan Smith about the travails of turning it all around in life. A good man. Some great speakers and some real high-brow fun.

My thanks to those who made Tuesday night possible. It was an honor and a pleasure!

Mere hours away from a parade, my stomach in knots, and a Full Moon to boot? Not a good combination...

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
