    Icing Your Own Kicker?!?

Yawn, happy Monday from cold and wet North Texas.

Still recovering from a very intense and fun Sunday afternoon in the Richardson vicinity as a variety of bands got together to play gratis, pay tribute to a young man fighting pancreatic cancer, and create funding on behalf of Steve Cass.

Many bands performed admirably, including the Sabrina Gypsy Bleu Band. Marino Stathakis and Sabrina played a very intense set of music against some of the worst weather seen in North Texas in months. An interview I had with Steve and Susan Cass will play later tonight on 'Monday Night In Texas'. Great job guys!

Jason Garrett, I haven't read any of the post game stuff nor have I played any audio or soundbites, yet I beg the question. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? Why in the hell do you call a timeout and ice your kicker? You had ample chances to burn the clock and a timeout earlier but chose not to.

Playing in the desert you deal with the term 'trap game' on the schedule. Three years removed from a Super Bowl, the Cardinals are a tough team to handle in December at home. I think back to the Christmas Day loss to the Cardinals by 1 point in 2010. The memory of Mat McBriar breaking his foot on a blocked punt in overtime in 2008 equally fresh.

This Horror Movie you can now title 'The Howling'. I saw the end to this overtime game. Wow! Truly a defensive battle on both ends as each team got 5 sacks each. Dallas and Arizona did well between the 20's. Some nice stops all game. Now the Cowboys and Giants have a huge showdown next Sunday night on NBC. Dallas has lost 5 straight on 'Sunday Night Football'.

The Giants also pissed me off. You tie the last undefeated team in the NFL at home with under a minute to go, and you can't hold off the O and get to overtime? Inexcusable!

My guess is this game, much like the 38-35 loss to the Patriots in Week 17 2007 will give the G-men all the confidence in the world to finish out the season on a high note. We shall see. Dallas will need to play a perfect game if they are to win next week. I already have my doubts since we are in December...

Baseball meetings in Dallas through December 8th. We might see some splashes as the managers and owners meet. Lots of rumblings about how active the Marlins and Cubs might be. I'm curious as to where C.J. Wilson is going to wind up. Likewise to Prince Fielder.

My sister has now been married 7 years. Happy anniversary sis. All the best!

Here's to a busy week at the River.

    Make it a great day!

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will
