Week 4: Across the Board Home Cooking!

Hello and welcome to October my friends.

It was nice to come home to a cooler evening temperature and enjoy a late night leisure stroll. A chance to clear the mind and think about the agenda ahead for this given month. Time to start thinking about a costume as well...

The first three weeks have been a very pleasant surprise with the picking by yours truly. Once in a while it's fun to do something out of the ordinary and see what kind of result you get. That said, with the Lions in town and a quarterback who wears #9 like the Cowboys do, the nooner locally will speak volumes about which team is better suited to make a run for the playoffs. I also tell you this: When you begin a season 3-0 79% of the time you reach the playoffs!

    Read vary carefully:

This week I am taking every home team to win or cover against what Las Vegas dictates. Call it a gut shot in the dark, and I wish to test a theory. Again this week in the NFL I like: Dallas (-2.5), Jacksonville (+7), Philadelphia (-9.5), St. Louis (+2.5), Cleveland (-1), Cincinnati (+3) as my upset of the week, Kansas City (+3) to win the winless bowl, Chicago (-6.5), Houston (-3.5), Seattle (+4.5), Arizona (+1), San Diego (-7), Green Bay (-12), Oakland (+5), Baltimore (-3.5) in the Sunday Nighter, and Tampa Bay (-10) as my lock of the week on Monday Night.

Again, note that I have chosen every home team this week regardless of the point spread. This means there will be a week where I go the opposite route and take the visitor. I will tell you when...The game of the day might very well be in Cincinnati for points and a dramatic finish on special teams.

The Texas State Fair now open and Texas-OU is now one week away. Things get busy here locally. My favorite time of the year.

Happy picking and choose wisely. Happy College Football watching as well. Alabama-Florida should rock the East Coast...

Over and out in Big D.

    Mr. Will.
