    One Week Before...

    Hello and Happy Monday.

Enjoying a day off and driving around North Texas as the chance to do so will be minimized later this day according to the weather people. One year ago North Texas was about to play host to the NBA All-Star game when a violent snow storm slammed North Texas. I recall up to 14 inches falling in some parts. Loss of power to most of North Texas. This was also Valentines Day weekend.

Over 100,000 filled Jerry's World. Wondering out loud if lightning is going to strike twice this week with the biggest spectacle in North Texas history? Lord, I hope not. That will spell financial disaster for so many in my industry of food servers.

Wrongly assumed that the NFL Experience might be open this day. While driving through the areas near Griffin street it was neat to see all the promos and paraphernalia relating to the Super Bowl, including a 100 foot tall statue of the Roman Numerals XLV that shine in red, white, and blue by night. That was quite the site to be near on this day.

Across the street last minute decorations are being finished up for this Sunday. The onslaught of media about to arrive if not already, and my guess is Sundance Square will be a hopping locale, weather permitting. It is all about to play itself out.

Many people want to see North Texas succeed with this presentation and venture. This will add hope to the possibility we see one again in 2016 for #50. If per chance poor weather decides to derail this week, the rallying cry by the powers that shall be 'L No!'. Just saying...

Double duty tonight as correspondent for KLOG and KVCE radio...A week to remember or a week to forget? Stay tuned my friends...

Over and out in Big D.
