    One Month Down!

Thankfully, the month to kickstart the new year has ended amid a trail of high winds, rain, fire, record warmth, a flu bug, an early Cowboy retirement, and more phlegm coughed up, blown out, wiped off, and trashed courtesy of being sicker than I can ever remember as a sober person...finally coming out of the fog, pop my ears and hear some good music.

A few weeks from now you'll note some major changes to the site. Since 2004 an unfinished project due to other commitments. I can assure you that when the makeover is complete, those of you who like the chance to sound off via the forum-style or topic of the day will not be disappointed. Podcasting will also be soon in arriving. I am excited, and the new look will be better than anything I have ever done before!

Prior to the final four minutes of tonight's Maverick-Celtic game, I was enjoying the flow, the stops, the seventeen lead changes, and the play of Dirk Nowitzki. No surprise as he earned a seventh All-Star invite as a reserve. I was a little disappointed at the way Dallas didn't finish as shots failed to fall, and Ray Allen and company salted away a 96-90 victory. A very electric feeling courtesy of the passionate folks from Beantown. Must be tough when your football team flirts with history, your baseball club has 2 titles in four years, your hockey team is showing signs of life, and let's not forget the soccer team (Revolution) winning a coveted title as well.

No matter, the Mavs lose and now look forward to a Sunday matinee in Detroit with the Pistons. This is the team I want to see Dallas have success against. I expect Detroit to be there in the end in the East. Then a Monday nighter in Orlando with Dwight Howard. Next to LeBron the best I have seen all season!

Having seen a few of the trailers for this weekend Super Bowl ads, I am curious to see what crazy ads make their presence felt. The one that we talk about around the cooler come Monday. I am guessing one of the Bud Light ads gets the most squawk or something on the racy side from the people of GoDaddy...

As for the game on Sunday, Plaxico has made his prediction. I'll now make mine. If the Patriots succeed in a blowout, I'll be the first to bow my head and say '19-0. Way to go!' If precedence means anything, I expect to see the Giants and Patriots play a shootout where once again, New England wins on a field goal at the gun 30-27.

For the record I want to see the Giants win. I like the way Eli and staff have handled themselves since that 12/29th meeting. I predict a big game for Aaron Bradshaw, and I expect the front four of the Giants D to create alot of hurries for Tom Brady in a game that will be turnover free and few penalties. Expect this to be the most watched game in Super Bowl history! Who will be the one enjoying this game the most? I would guess Bill Parcells-the man who made these two current head coaches...

This won't be the last time we hear the name Parcells either! Come draft day in April, I fully expect to hear an announcement from Roger Goodell that Miami trades down to Dallas, allowing Mr. Razorback Jerry Jones to go after Dwight McFadden! You can also expect the Cowboys cavalcade of shuttling continue as another coordinator makes a move from Big D to South Beach...

The last ten days have been hell healthwise. Thankfully the vitamins and Green Tea are doing their thing. Still able to knock out a three mile powerwalk as I heal. Still can't believe how fast this month blew by! Ready for February, ready for hot stove talk, ready for March Madness, and ready for warmer weather.

To a new month and big changes!

Over and out in Big D

    Mr Will
