    Necessary Changes.

It was in April of 2001 that I launched a website. The name of the site played off a nickname that I have always been perceived as. April 6th 2001 www.masterofnothing.com was born on the advice and careful tutelage of my former radio boss, Norm Gregory. Initially I saw this outlet as a way to keep my energy level up as eleven months earlier I took a break from radio due to burnout. Quitting was not my first choice, but I had to find myself. Here we are almost six years later to the day I said thank you and goodbye to working at 95.7 KJR-FM in the great city of Seattle...

September 2000 I became single again. I bought a digital camera and realized rather quickly that everything analog will in time go digital. This intimidated me at first, but over time Norm Gregory continued to give praise and support on what I needed to do. The next five months I photographed everything and anything! M.O.N's birth coincided with my new stomping grounds in North Texas. To make a long story short, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but after an unsure start, I was able to parlay a few loves into one locale. With a whole lot of accolades from many good people.

The look of the website underwent one change in 2005 with Zach Warner. I had the privilege of working many a sporting event with Zach in Park Cities. He even provided all the Dreamweaver tools needed to create a web site and look. Time and commitments separated us, yet I admit that I am not that web savvy. I can put words together, add pictures to the words, throw out a poem, crack a joke, critique a book or movie, play radio bits, or have an opinion on something. That I can do...Building websites I am not qualified for...not yet.

On February 24th a dear friend had a birthday. Alli was the first person I met when coming to Dallas. A woman with a good heart and an even better spirit. This night was a birthday for my fellow Piscean. Alli introduced me to a young man and said quote,'This young man might change your life.' If Alli says so, then I believed her...

The first thing you notice about Lydell Vik is his conviction, his love and passion for the arts and electronics. He had no idea what he was getting himself into as far as creating an identity, a vision, an attention grabber for yours truly. I had questions and he had answers, patient as can be...This new look will without question be an extension of me in my element!

I promised you a new look to the website back in March, Lydell Vik did exactly that. I also vowed that the day would come when the 'under construction' signs would go away and you'd see the final product. It's true...Friday night at roughly 8pm CST, phase two to www.masterofnothing.com will be up and running. I only have a rough draft of how that will be...The fact that this week marks the sixth year anniversary that I left radio and the 43rd wedding anniversary of Mom and Dad makes Lydell's timing even more impeccable.

Creating animation and digitization is time consuming...The wait has been hectic. I hereby tell all of you that in a few more days the wait shall be over...with a tweak here or there. I also wish to say that I will gladly recommend Lydell Vik for any project you want done for your website or small business.

I cannot begin to thank Alli enough for her recommendation the night of her birthday. I am beside myself as I begin a new chapter to my website. Lydell Vik, you are the man! Thank you! To Mom, I promised her that one day I will grow the cojones to create a website on my own...I just don't know when...Once upon a time I had the domain name studentofeverything... To those who ponder why the domain name that I currently have? Cuz I have always joked 'Why be a student of everything when you camn be a master of nothing?' That's how I have lived for 42 years...

It is also my hope that with the new look Friday I am able to find an avenue, an opening, a chance to go back to the last place I always felt at home, in front of a mike inside a studio, thus making peace with the past.

There you have it. Friday 5/26/06 8 pm...the new look...Are you ready? Can advertising be far behind? Stay tuned!

Over and out in Big D

    Mr Will
