Let a New QB Era Begin!

Sunday night is about to come to an end and fans of the NFL sit back and wonder what might possibly be up with the Dallas Cowboys. I saw last night's game and am amazed that at one point the silver and the teal fell behind by 14 only to have 35 unanswered points. Tony Romo might very well be the shot in the arm Dallas needed to survive in the NFC East. It also appeared from my seat that maybe, just maybe, the offensive line responded better to the young man with mobility behind the center. Tis only one game and I certainly have no love for the Cowboys, yet I give credit where credit is due.

Jake Delhomme couldn't have been feeling too well with all the dropsies. The sure TD toss to Keyshawn that he dropped was the momentum changer of the game. Dallas created turnovers on the special teams and again I say to myself,'This is the team that lost last Monday night?'

You might recall that Bill Parcells has had good success against John Fox in the regular season. When these two teams met in Week 8 in 2003, Quincy and company led them to a 24-20 win and a 7-1 start.

Last X-mas Eve it was the Marion Barber show, and tonight, we may have seen the start of the Tony Romo era. Knowing full well how fair weathered and bandwagoning Cowboy fans can be, I can only imagine all the platitudes that will be launched on the local front by the radio squawk boxes.

Next week a possible test in DC, where last year there was a 42-0 embarrassment on national TV. If ever there was a week the Cowboys needed to show up, this was the week. Congrats Dallas. Nicely done.

Over and out in Big D
