Watching A Winning Team!
Gee, I guess I told you so! For all the hype, for all the bluster, for all the wishing upon a star, and for the smoke that the media tried to blow up my proverbial ass, my gut instincts were correct. While the vocal majority made their way to Irving to watch an NFC East showdown, the silent minority got to enjoy a thriller at the AAC. It was a peaceful quiet ride on the I-30 going east. More on that in a moment.
Talk all you want about a QB controversy. It won't matter who you put back there. With no offensive protection whatsoever, it makes no difference if you see Tony Romo or Drew Bledsoe take the sack. Four interceptions by the two gents leads to a 36-22 pasting. The score wasn't even that close!
Give the Giants credit in going a perfect 3-0 within the division. Eli Manning slowly showing how great his pedrigee is. Dallas now plays three on the road before getting a home treat against the Colts then Bucs on Turkey Day. I won't be surprised if Dallas comes home 4-5. Playoff team? Puleeze! Sorry diehards, but what Bill Parcells believes he can do as opposed to what he has for talent leave alot to be desired. This will be Tuna's last year. This will be a sorry finish for an under achieving bunch, and the Giants deserve every accolade in the book for the way they came to play.
Special thanks are in order to my friend Brad C for a nice seat upgrade. I didn't need to sneak my way downstairs Monday night. I was able to watch the Canucks and Stars up close in section 109, goalie side. I was 20 yards away when Mike Modano hit the game winner in a 2-1 nail biter. Both Marty Turco and Robert Luongo made some key shot-stops. A small but vocal crowd voiced their pleasure at an 8-1 start, best in franchise history. Two empty netters in the last 90 seconds missed by INCHES! All four of Dallas' lines seem to be playing with purpose, passion, and precision. I like it!
Great to run into a mutual friend of L3 and the Master. Alli Kim was in the hizzy looking her bizest. You can expect an email fellow Piscean! Three days off before the Stars entertain the Red Wings and Kings this weekend. Camera will be at the ready! We may very well be taking about a 10-1 hockey team in Dallas. As opposed to that other sport that is sooooo talked about!
Over and out in Big D
