Stars Mangled Manner.

Hard to fathom but Dallas Texas is now one year away from hosting the NHL All-Star Game...

For the 8th time in 10 games, the Dallas Stars would begin their match with a 1-0 deficit. Phoenix red hot, having won 4 of 5. Dave Scatchard hit a shot that barely made it through the 5 hole early in period one. Then came the D. Sergei Zubov knotted things at 1 with a minute left in the first.

Jussi Jokinen would give the Stars a lead they would not relinquish early in the second when Mike Modano stole the puck from Keith Ballard and the Finn found the back of the net. Brendan Morrow and Jason Arnott each scored to make for a three goal second and a 4-1 victory. Losing skein snapped is always good news. In defeat I still tip my hat to Cujo. Man he made some stops!

Even better news was the official announcement that the 2007 All-Star game will be in Dallas 1/24/07...St Louis on town Weds..
