    'Super Recap'

Another memorable Super Bowl comes to a dramatic finish and you may now use the 'D' word if you are a Pats fan, as in 'Dynasty'. AGAIN you win a Bowl game by a FG! Tom Brady continues to match up with Joe Montana as he has yet to toss an INT in 3 games. Corey Dillon makes a key score late, and the New England defense created 4 turnovers. 3 titles in 4 years. Congratulations to New England.

If my memory is correct, this marks the first time since 1986(Mets, Giants) that the same city wins a Super Bowl and a World Series in the same year. Pittsburgh fans remember 1979. New Yorkers also remember 1969(3 wins against Baltimore teams in football, baseball, and basketball).

Nobody has mentioned this but if you need any more proof that a jinx is over, has anyone thought to mention that Sunday would have been a birthday for Babe Ruth (1895)? Isn't it ironic that the 3rd Super Bowl is won on an anniversary date of one's birthday to symbolize his jersey number in the win column? Better yet, Tom Brady's QB rating was 110. THAT'S HOW OLD THE BAMBINO WOULD HAVE TURNED!!!(Insert Twilight Zone Guitar Rift Here)Am I stretching? Maybe.

Deion Branch was a surprise pick for the MVP but the numbers bear him out. Can New England 3 peat? Hell, why not? I can handle seeing that! Tom Brady at 27 has already experienced a life similar to Tiger Woods in his PGA infancy.

Right here and now I, The Master, wish to make a public apology to Terrell Owens. Back in October we marveled at what Curt Schilling did with a bad ankle. I was one of many who dissed 'that uppity trash-talking, showboating, blowhard of an athlete' for saying he could play against a doctors orders. This serves as a lesson to what the human mind and body can accomplish if you want to achieve badly enough. Terrell you were right, I was wrong. I will never again question your desire to win. Helluva game!Summary

To the good people of Philadelphia: You have NOTHING to be ashamed of! Your team came to play. Spare a few miscues by your QB, we may be talking about 1983 as a memory. Be proud all the same! I was also VERY impressed with the play of Mr Westbrook. Jevon Kearse and Company had some strong moments on the defensive side of the ball. Yet, I am reminded of an oft used line by wrestler Ric Flair. 'If you want to be the man, you got to beat the man-WHOO!' So true so true.

Paul McCartney was his usual outstanding self. Everyone in the bar was singing like it was 1975. I was hoping Slash and Axel Rose appeared during 'Live and Let Die'. No malfunctions, period! I thought the whole show and pregame was classy and tasteful...Old school is better from where I sit.

Best commercial I saw: with a funny poke at Justin and Janet, I thought the ad for GoDaddy.com was HILARIOUS! That gets my vote for best ad yesterday. The fact that all my websites are signed under GoDaddy is mere coincidence.

Odd couple of the day: My place of work featured two diverse characters in attendance whom I got to shake hands with. Former Cowboy Tony Casillas and former(rooming for free)buddy of O.J. Simpson,Kato Kaelin. No lie! Both men were in excellent spirits and I was able to prove to my staff that I knew a bit of Kato trivia.

Those of you who frequent karaoke bars to sing by way of Pioneer Laser, check out the video of Tom Jones 'Delilah'. That dude in the silhouette is Mr Kaelin himself!!! To my unbelieving staff: I TOLD YOU SO! HAHA!!! Later this month Mr Kaelin returns to Addison for a special event. You read it here first.

Alot of eagle fans in attendance in Florida and Addison. I frankly was surprised. I guess America hates dynasties unlike decades past. I wasn't aware that yesterday marked the first time a Super Bowl was tied after 3 quarters. Now that will be committed to memory. That's enough blog for one day. Off to neverland.

Over and out in Big D

    Mr Will
