A Call From The East!

Tonight the Dallas Stars began a stretch of matches against the East. Tonight's opponents were the Carolina Hurricanes, led by Rod Brind'Amour, Eric Staal, Matthew Ladd, and Niklas Nordgren.

Mike Modano had his first multi-goal game since 2/18/04 and shot the gamewinner in a shootout to down the Canes' 5-4.

Both teams were 16-7-1 coming in, both teams were 2-0 in shootouts coming in. The victory gives Dallas their best start in franchise history and for the first time since opening night, sole possession of first place in the Pacific!

2 better than Los Angeles and with two less games played! Next up: Florida on Wednesday! I will be there!
