    Columbus Day Curiosities...

    Trying to remember the last time a team with a bye benefited as much as the Cowboys did. Remember that 1 week ago fans were calling for Tony Romo's head and job after a lackluster second half to the Lions. Sunday I watch Eli Manning and Michael Vick combine for SEVEN interceptions in subsequent losses in New Jersey and in Buffalo.

    Reprise Of 'The Innovator' and Golf Recap.

    The tributes and the stories will come in droves in the days to come for Al Davis. He may have worn some crazy jump suits on the sidelines, he may have reveled in his maverick role. Few were respected more when it came to knowing players, personnel, and exuding passion. Imagine what might have been had Bill Parcells came along or if John Madden coached longer!

    Week 5: Time To Refine Overdrive!

    Of all the match ups I see for Week 5 there are quite a few trap games I would not touch, beginning with the Saints at Carolina. Cam Newton has been impressive with what he has been able to do, I must admit. This could be the week the Pack finally gets a flat in Atlanta as the Falcons try to exact some revenge from last years playoff loss. If the Atlanta D can get to Aaron Rodgers early it may be so.

    The Empire's Struck Down!

    To say that Teixeira, Rodriguez, and Swisher didn't produce would be an understatement. The heart of the order a collective 12 for 72? That's a .166 average and you just made Mario Mendoza look like an MVP! Nova let two curves hang a little too high in the space of 2 minutes on back to back jacks, and the Yankees season ended in Game 5 by a 3-2 score.
