    Life or Death of a Streak.

    It is very apparent that Brett Favre's best days are behind him. Sometimes you can stay on too long for something you outgrew a while back or remain in a relationship deemed unhealthy. After 21 years in the NFL and 291 starts, you would hope that a life plan is in place after your playing days. I understand Brett has been playing ball for a long long time. I worry about Favre becoming a cripple in 5-10 years time

    Thank Heaven for Week 7!

    Last week a 6-6-2 mark against the spread and 7-7 straight up. Normally many of this weeks match ups fall along the lines of in conference opponent, trap game, or a must win if you have aspirations to play past Christmas. The Cowboys may have the distinction of becoming the first team in NFL history to play a game on Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas Day in the same year! Go figure.

    Count me in among the many who questioned what kind of grit Colby Lewis was going to have as a starter when 2010 began. Question no more after two playoff appearances against the Yankees and results that could fall near the category of Cliff Lee-esque. Yet I digress.

    Before...and After!

    It will also mark the first time in 23 years that I can watch the action up close and personal with a new set of eyes. Figuratively and literally! It was over 2 decades ago when I had made a purchase of glasses for days when I knew the lenses, or the extended wear was to be given the day off.

    33 years ago Monday Reggie Jackson had his moment in the sun with a 3 homer performance on a team wearing road blue. Last night another individual wearing the #33 decided to make his road blue team look really good and formidable. For 8 innings you saw two Picasso's paint a nice picture.
