    Epiphany After Epiphany...

    Boss and Bastille Remembrances...

    If you were to ask for my favorite George moment, without question it was when Reggie Jackson returned to New York as an Angel 4/27/82. With Ron Guidry on the mound, Reggie went deep amidst the chants of 'Reggie! Reggie!' and 'Steinbrenner Sucks!' post-home run trot. I hated to see Reggie come to Arlington. I did get watch Reggie play quite a bit in New York and Arlington back in the day.

    The New Texas Hammer?

    Forget about the Cliff Lee acquisition for a second. Have you actually listened to what your President has been saying? All these days in court, a near disaster last week with a fall from the stands, and no closure in sight for team ownership has taken away the (usually seen) smile on the face of the greatest Ranger ever. Nolan does not sound like a man who still wants to cleanup the mess that Tom Hicks created. Would you?

    Keeping Clam!

    Sometimes when you nothing to play for but pride, and with the imminent arrival of an established manager like Buck Showalter to teach you how you win, a team finds a way to make their breaks and have a modicum of success. I wonder if Ranger fans were flashing back to 2007 (Ron Washington's first year) when they began terribly then played great baseball the rest of the way? This is what the Orioles reminded me of as I watched.

    JD=Just Delivered!

    I have been very critical of Jon Daniels on many many fronts since he took his spot 10/3/05. Granted, in some cases his hands were tied and there was little he could do. This was not the case yesterday. Even I am still shocked and the baseball world is scratching its head.
