One week ago I watched this young man pitch a home game on the telly and thought, 'Man what stuff!' Saturday night at Ameriquest I was able to watch Francisco Liriano up close and personal. This young man has a heck of a future ahead of him! Although his fastball topped 96 MPH a few times, it was his changeup and cutter that had many the fans oohing and aahing. Minnesota won this night 4-0.
For starters, 'Crazy From The Heat' paints a very creative, artistic, colorful, humorous, and adventure-seeking frontman who could never sit still. It is suggested on more than one occasion that the reason VH had so many 'in-house' blowouts leading to vocalist changes were 1.Ed's ego 2.Dave's perceived Ego 3.Valerie Bertinelli(It's apparent she and Dave never got along) 4.Egos and 5.David's solo success.
Further, after five years and nary a clue I am now doing the one thing I should have kept in check all along! Before this summer is over, every single post on M.O.N. from 4/6/01 onward will be up for your viewing and laughing pleasure.
I still crank up the Sabbath and Metallica from time to time. I hereby recommend this DVD for renting/buying at your leisure. I learned ALOT about the death metal side of life. Not that I can afford to live it at my age but...
Even though the Astros would reclaim the Silver Boot for 2006, the one play that will remain in my mind and resonate for the rest of eternity was the catch Gary Matthews jr made in center field on 7/1 to rob Mike Lamb of a three run blast. Tori Hunter called it the greatest catch he ever saw, and I'll second that.
