Line Them Up! Week 5 NFL Picks!
Last week this guy was in Houston watching a defensive juggernaut of play with the Texans and the powers of JJ Watt. The man is an absolute beast and would be a five tool player if baseball were the subject to be discussed.
That same Houston team now makes an appearance in Arlington this Sunday at noon for an old fashioned Texas Throwdown. Throw away 2002 and the Cowboys have won the last three meetings over the last decade.
The old school in me remembers the good old days when it was Earl Campbell going head to head against Tony Dorsett circa 1979.
Maybe we see the same scenario with DeMarco Murray and Arian Foster.
All that talk about a coach and a team nor getting along sometimes fires up the troops. With that said a heck of a goal line stand against the Eagles. Yes 49ers fans I speak to you.
Royals in the playoffs AND the Chiefs knock out the Patriots? Is Armageddon far behind? Dang!
That Sunday night game with the Cowboys and Saints was the most complete performance of a game I witnessed since a 24-20 victory over the Carolina Panthers in 2003. They went on the Super Bowl that year. Same way the last time the Cowboys defeated the Saints in 2009 the WhoDats won it all.
7-6 straight up (38-23 YTD) and a paltry 6-7 against the spread (33-28 YTD) as we roll into Week 5 in the NFL.
Lifelong Viking fan that I am I wish Teddy Bridegwater nothing but the best. Sadly it just won’t happen in the land of the discount double check.
My picks for Week 5 are: Green Bay (-9), Chicago (+2.5), Indianapolis (-3.5), Houston (+5.5) in what might be the game of the week here locally, Buffalo (+7) for my upset of the week, Pittsburgh (-6.5), New Orleans (-10) in a bounceback win and my lock of the week, Giants (-4), Cleveland (+1.5) in another dramatic finish, Philadelphia (-7), Denver (-7), San Diego (-6.5), and I’ll continue to root for Kansas City (+6.5) in two sports, Cincinnati (-1) for a second possible upset, and Seattle (-7).
Remember to only be what you can afford. Pick one or two games, not all 16. This is for entertainment purposes and has been since 2001.
Happy watching. Lots of interest locally for the two 3-1 teams.
Over and out in Big D.
Mr. Will
